Barrhaven SANTA Claus PARADE OF LIGHTS- Sunday, November 20th at 5:30 pm
For the past four years, the Barrhaven Lions Santa Claus parade has lit its way down Strandherd Drive in Barrhaven. This year, the Barrhaven Lions Light Up the Night Santa Claus Parade will be bigger, bolder and brighter than ever!
With funding from local sponsors such as Baizana Insurance Brokers, Creppin Realty Group, Monarch Homes, Ross' Independent and Scotiabank for the past four years, the parade has continued to grow in popularity and size, adding new and better floats with each year. Today this volunteer-run parade sees entries including elaborate floats, marching bands, entertainers and costumed characters, all lit up to the delight of our 30,000 spectators.
Parade entries will move along Strandherd Drive beginning at Beatrice Drive and continuing west. Local businesses will treat spectators with complimentary hot drinks and snacks along the parade route. The parade ends with Santa himself, of course, and will finish at the park n ride where it turns north for dispersal. This is a well-loved community event that delights so many residents of our community and those from neighbouring areas. We are proud to copresent this wonder-filled event!
Please remember to bring non perishable food items or cash donations for the needy. We will collect these items along the parade route.

2012 BARRHAVEN RUN FOR ROGER'S HOUSE SPONSORSHIP
Since its inception in 2008 the Barrhaven Run for Roger's House has seen over 5000 participants and raised an outstanding $75,000 for Roger's House. BARRHAVEN CANADA DAY & MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL
Once again, Mattamy's Canada Day in Barrhaven celebration will include a Battle of the Bands competition to raise funds for the Canada Day event. Bands will compete starting in May at Greenfield's Pub in Barrhaven. On Canada Day, the festivities at Clarke Field will feature many exciting attractions all day long, culminating in fireworks at dusk. The event, which attracts 30,000 spectators, is looking for annual sponsors. Click here for more information!
